Vietnam War Commemoration honors mothers, wives of deceased veterans
The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration is offering two new programs to honor mothers and wives, at the time of service, of Vietnam veterans.
The “In Memory Of” program honors immediate family members of veterans listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
The “Deceased Vietnam Veteran’s Surviving Spouse” program honors the surviving spouse at the time of death of a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. armed forces at any time from Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, regardless of location.
For the past several years, Michigan Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall has held numerous formal Vietnam veteran lapel pinning ceremonies, in both Lansing and throughout the state, often in conjunction with local legislative colleagues.
